Book Sale Teen Volunteers

If you have (or you are) a teenage who would like to spend some time volunteering, but not LOTS of time volunteering, I would like to suggest the annual Friends of the Pinckney Community Public Library Book Sale. We are happy to have some young strong muscle to help move boxes and boxes of books from the storage sheds at the library into cars and then unloaded at the Putnam Township Annex, and then for those books that do not sell in the book sale back to storage at the end of the sale. If moving boxes is not really your style then consider helping us sort the books into categories for the sale or actually helping out during the sale. The dates of these events are as follows:
  • Tuesday, May 30 @ 6:00 p.m. we will move the books out of storage to the Annex.
  • Wednesday and Thursday, May 31 and June 1 we will be sorting the books in the Annex for the sale starting at 10:00 a.m. and running throughout the day, please call for times.
  • Friday, June 2 the sale is 10:00-7:00.
  • Saturday, June 3 the sale is 10:00-7:00.
  • Sunday, June 4 the sale is 10:00-3:00 and we will start boxing books that have not sold.
  • Monday, June 5 we will be moving the not sold books from the Annex back to storage at the Library at 6:00 p.m.

Please call the Library at 734-878-3888 to sign up for time slots! We appreciate all the help we can get. And if you need the volunteer time to count as community service for school please let us know and we have a form we can provide you so that you get the credit. ~Sara
